Mr. McCarl’s background reflects decades of service and commitment to helping others. He studied Emergency Medical Technology at Lane Community College and continued his training as an EMT Intermediate at Chemeketa Community College. In addition to his healthcare work, he served his community as a volunteer firefighter with Harrisburg Fire and Rescue for 34 years. He is an active member of the International Hyperbaric Association and remains deeply involved in community leadership through organizations including the Springfield Chamber of Commerce, Eugene Chamber of Commerce, and the Tri-County Chamber of Commerce, where he serves as a board member and ambassador. Recognized for his dedication to emergency services, Mr. McCarl has received EMT of the Year honors in 1998, 2008, 2010, and 2020. He is also a contributing author to the book “A Health Awakening Awoke the Entrepreneur in Me.” Outside of his professional life, he enjoys woodworking, hiking, spending time at the beach, serving his fire department community, and being with his family. He and his wife have been married for 27 years and are proud parents of three children—two daughters and one son—and grandparents to beloved grandchildren.
